Action Research Center (ARC)
The Action Research Center’s mission is to promote social justice and strengthen communities, locally and globally, by advancing research, education, and action through participatory and reflective practices.
Alpaugh Family Economics Center
The Center educates thousands of students in Greater Cincinnati annually on budgeting, opportunity cost, making careful choices, and the value of earning and donating money through its Susan Sargen Student Enterprise Program (StEP).
Arlitt Center for Education
The Arlitt Center for Education, Research, & Sustainability is part of the School of Education within the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services. The Arlitt Center houses the Arlitt Child Development Center, one of the oldest laboratory preschools in the USA. The program serves preschool children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and also acts as a practicum site for students from many programs at the University of Cincinnati.

Center for Criminal Justice Research
To improve the quality and delivery of criminal justice services, to advance knowledge on the administration of justice and on the nature of criminal behavior, and to advance research capabilities and educational mission of the School of Criminal Justice.
Center for English as a Second Language
The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) is the academic unit which provides ESL courses to international graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Cincinnati. As an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program, we serve the ESL community by providing high-quality English language courses in an authentic learning environment where students are immersed in academic and social cultures.
Center for Studies in Jewish Education
The Center for Studies in Jewish Education and Culture (CSJEC) research agenda seeks to advance our theoretical understandings of culture, relationship, and teacher identity and develop new models for teachers' professional development. The center also offers rigorous courses of study including a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Education.
Center for Youth Futures
The affiliates of the Center for Youth futures aim to spark youth interest and build academic skills for post-secondary success by creating opportunities to be on campus, engage with research and industry, and interact with career and college mentors.
Corrections Institute (UCCI)
UCCI’s mission is to research, develop, disseminate, and implement evidence-based practices in corrections. Our work impacts corrections agencies and organizations far and wide. From California to Maine, our team of expert researchers, clinicians and practitioners have conducted and implemented tested approaches in all 50 US states and internationally in Scotland, Singapore, New Zealand, Israel and the US Territory of Guam.
Evaluations Services Center
UC’s Evaluation Services Center team has the knowledge, expertise, and experience to serve as an evaluation and applied research partner with particular subject matter expertise in education, human services, and public health.
Institute of Crime Science
The Institute of Crime Science (ICS) is located in the University of Cincinnati's top-ranked School of Criminal Justice. The ICS Team includes world-renowned researchers and experienced law enforcement professionals who provide practical, evidence-based solutions to real world problems. The ICS Team specializes in three core areas: (1) Administrative Studies, (2) Crime Analysis & Data Analytics, and (3) Evidence-Based Policy Implementation & Evaluation.
Systems Development and Improvement
The CECH Systems Development & Improvement (SDI) Center at UC fosters the development, implementation, and evaluation of PK20 education research and demonstration efforts that improve opportunities to learn for children and youth, their families, and the professionals who support them.
Human Services Research and Innovation
The Human Services Research and Innovation Center harnesses the expertise from the University of Cincinnati’s School of Human Services and key community partners to conduct research, develop innovative applications, and provide evidence-based services to positively impact and improve outcomes for individuals and organizations in health, education, performance, and wellness for all in the Greater Cincinnati community.
